For up-to-the-minute news about this year’s package bee orders, please follow the club’s Facebook page.
In addition to our regular order we will be placing a second order for bees that will arrive later in the season. If you are looking for breeds that we don't normally offer, you are starting a brand new hive with no drawn comb or are looking for Nucs or queens for splits this may be for you. I prefer my bees to come In at the beginning of April it gives them a great start on our already short season but there are many reasons why it is beneficial to consider a later order. In the past we have not been able to offer another option that works for us.
I don't want to confuse people either. There are two different forms for these orders.
The first info here is for the early order only and the second info applies to the second order only so please read through it and as always call me if you have any questions 9062502511

There will be an extraction party at Joel's on September 23rd. Come out and join us even if you don't have honey to extract. Time slots are available by request. We will be extracting from 10am until the last start at 7pm. Please call 906 250-2511 or email email@example.com let me know if you can come at anytime or if you need a certain time and I will do my best to schedule everyone in. It is recommended that you drop your honey frames off the evening before so they will be warm. Warm honey flows well, you will be able to get more from your frames. Please bring boxes in a container or box or bring newspaper to set them on. On the day of extraction bring either a food safe pale, containers, or jars. If you already own a filter bring that! Biscuits are always welcome! If you have any questions please call or email prior to the day of extraction. I do not get phone service at Joel's. 192 Kunde Rd, Skandia

So if you or someone you know is wanting to get into beekeeping or you need a refresher join us on one of the two dates. We will go over all the basics about honey bees and their roles in the hive, what woodenware to start with, how to get your bees and more.
