We are still trying to get a bus filled to take Yooper to the Michigan Beekeeping Association's Spring Conference. If you are interested I need a  $50 deposit. That will be refunded if we do not meet our minimum occupants. The following is the info that was handed out at the Close of Season Potluck
U.P. Swarm on Lansing 2015

The Michigan Beekeeping association puts on a spring conference  each year and in 2015 it will be the 150th conference. Michigan is known to have the nation's oldest continuously running agricultural organization! Superior Beekeeping Club has been working with the Michigan Beekeeping Association to try to make this great opportunity more accessible to  our distant club. We have a bus reserved for this exciting and informative event. Come celebrate the Michigan Beekeepers' Association's 150 Anniversary! Check out their website at www.michiganbees.org for more information.

Limited space available so sign up early!

We would have to have a minimum of 32 people at a price of $150.50 the more people we have sign up the less expensive it gets up to 56 people that would bring the cost to $90.30.

This cost covers the cost of the bus, the driver and a gratuity to the driver. It does not include the overnight accommodations for the driver. We are working on getting a block of rooms at the Marriot Hotel it is located not far from the kellogg center. It should be less crowded and priced lower than the Kellogg Center and since we have the driver for the duration the driver will transport us back and forth to the conference. By getting this block we are working on getting a free room for our driver if we get a certain number of rooms booked.

The bus can make pick ups along the route. So if you live on the East side of the UP or Northern Lower you can meet along the route.

Dining accommodations can be found in the Kellogg Center where the conference is being held or across the street at the Brody Cafeteria. The State Room offers upscale casual dining and drink specials. http://www.kelloggcenter.com/stateroomrestaurant The Brody is not just any cafeteria it it setup with multiple stations you can get just about anything your heart desires for one great price.
